Gardner Minshew: Coronavirus 'Took One Look at Me and Ran the Other Way'
Just a couple days after being placed on the Jaguars' Reserve/COVID-19 list and quarantined, Gardner Minshew tested negative for the virus and is back on the team's active roster. When asked about his experience Tuesday, Minshew gave an answer only he could.
"Did not contract the virus," Minshew said. "It took one look at me and ran the other way. Probably in its best interest."
If Ed Orgeron wasn't a real person, Minshew would be the leader in the clubhouse for Football Guy of the Year for literally telling coronavirus to not mess with him. He simply informed COVID that it would be a good idea to keep it moving because he's got balls to throw.
Every time I see something like this from Minshew, I think about the conversations that must take place in Jacksonville's quarterback room between he and aerospace engineer Josh Dobbs. There can't be another position group in the League with two guys that hilariously different.
But glad to see Minshew is ready to go for the 2020 season and that coronavirus took his advice and didn't try its hand at infecting one of the NFL's treasures.
